With the number of options on the market, finding the best international plug can be tough. Over the years, we have tried out numerous plugs and adaptors and have eventually settled on this nifty little plug by SuitMeUp. It offers built-in worldwide adapters, the ability to hook up 2 USB’s, plus gives you the ability to recharge all your technology from the convenience of your vehicle with a handy car charger. You’ll never need to carry around a bag of adaptors ever again!

The backpack weighs less than 0.5kgs, has the capacity of 40L, and can be folded into itself for easy storage inside your bag. 3. MicroFiber Travel Towel Bundle – $27.99
Travel towels are essential when traveling on a budget, as most hostels and guesthouses do not provide complimentary towels. And even if they do, you can always use your quick drying microfiber towel on the beach.
4. Rusoji Packing Cube System – $29.95
This popular item was featured on our 2014 Holiday Gift Guide, but this year we are recommending a larger set that is suitable for longer trips. If you don’t need all of the packing cubes for clothes, consider using one of the cubes for cables, documents, or other loose items.
Over the years, we have tried out our fair share of travel pillows. Every year we’d try to upgrade our travel pillow, always looking for something better. That all changed last year when we both invested in this amazing memory foam “Evolution Pillow”. We loved the memory foam on it, the clip that helps you to secure it to things, and the ability to pack it down to the size of a water bottle. Max just lost his pillow on the last leg of our trip and he has already added this pillow to his Christmas list.
6. Vapur Eclipse Water Bottle – $13.95
We both got these last year for Christmas and used them all throughout our trip. The bottle comes with a small plastic carabiner that makes it easy to strap it on your backpack.
Travel would be a lot harder without one of these in your bag. Because we have to work on the road, a large battery power pack is an essential item in our bags! This year we traveled with a 10,000mAh, a 5,000mAh, and an 8,000mAh power banks, but next year, we’ll be replacing two of them with this RAVpower 21,000mAh. Not only will this pack charge both of our iPhones multiple times, it will even charge Max’s new Macbook! Just remember that new FAA and international regulations do not allow you to pack these batteries in your checked bags, and we have even seen some signs saying that each person is only allowed one! So be sure to pack these in your carry-on!
8. GoPro HERO Starter Bundle – $139.99
Unless you are doing some serious filming on your next trip to post online, we recommend getting GoPro’s entry level action camera which still gives you gorgeous 1080p30 and 720p60 video at a very affordable price.
This Sony camera was just awarded the best camera in the $500-$800 range by DPreview. Although a few years old, this camera is still one of the best APC sized cameras around. It’s small, but it’s mighty! It’s a great camera for anyone who wants to take their photography to the next level but doesn’t want to spend an arm and a leg on a bulky DSLR. The best part is that it’s currently on sale for just $398. An amazing bargain, so hurry before it’s gone!

12. MARMOT PreCip Rain Jackets – under $100
We cannot stress enough the importance of traveling with a good rain jacket. When you are traveling to tropical areas, a little water resistant windbreaker simply won’t do. 13. NEW Kindle Paperwhite 6″ – $99.99
Lighten your bag and read your favourite books on-the-go without a light! We both previously had some Kindle knock-offs but found that they often freeze up and break after just a few months. Last year we invested in a Kindle and we have never looked back! It’s worth the price!
14. MINI BOOM Wireless Bluetooth Speaker – $84.49
Having a nice portable set of Bluetooth speakers is a must while traveling! This little speaker provides good sound for its size and lasts up to 10 hours on a single charge. Set them up in your room for an instant dance party!
15. Osprey Travel Packs – $210-$240
Time to upgrade your travel packs? Consider investing in Osprey packs! Osprey packs have a ton of great features and are always ranked as some of the best travel packs. 16. El Camino Bracelet – $70+
